A Birthday Princess, Shoal Bay

The sun was shining and the skies were blue yesterday morning, Wednesday the 23rd of May, when Nina and I set off to have brekky in Shoal Bay before a quick visit to the beautician.

The boys decided to hang back at the caravan park so it was just the girls.
After brekky we headed to the beautician next door, only to be completely disappointed when they woudn't allow Nina in with me, (apparently it's again their policy).

I decided to let them know how much I was planning to spend in their beauty salon and told her in no uncertain terms where to jam it all when she asked me if I'd like to reschedule another appointment.

Anyway, after a few deep breaths we continued on. The sun was still shining so Nina and I took a stroll along the beautiful bay before heading back to the caravan park.
Later, we went to the gym for another pump class before we headed into nearby Nelson Bay for lunch. Nina and I then went for our beauty treatment, at a place that wasn't so rude, getting our hair done, among other things.
Richard picked us up afterwards and we headed towards Howard and Lorrain's house to watch the state of origin. They were obviously going for the Blues, being New South Welshmen, we were a bit indifferent, but it was a great get together again with the Laughtons....

Today, Thursday the 24th of May, was filled with excitement, chookie woke early as a Six-year-old - wanting to be spoilt.
A very excited chookie

After a raft of presents including a tooth holder and a Cadbury T-shirt from Jack, a pink wii control from Harry plus a new push bike from us we were on our way doing what was on order for the day...

And then I followed, it was hard work but I couldn't give in :-)

If that wasn't enough, we then all went Ten Pin Bowling... I managed to do all of the above without incident, before slipping and almost breaking my back on the oiled up bowling alley... Who does that?...
It was a little embarrassing when the pensioners in the nearby bowling alley's ran to my assistance.

All of that aside( and I'm still red faced), we were exhausted by the end of the day.
So tonight was a quiet pizza in the caravan and a donut birthday cake cutting before we all headed to bed.

Chookie was completely exhausted and declared it the best birthday yet. We must have done something right!
Thank you to everyone who called and text to wish her a happy day.
She certainly managed to fit a lot in and enjoyed every minute of being pampered and made to feel special... Who wouldn't?
Tomorrow, we're back on the road again... destination - TBA!
