I can't believe that three days have passed since my birthday. I must have slipped into Bali time where each blissful day just seems to melt into the next. I think the masseuse/healer Putu had a bit to do with it, he has massaged the bodies of nearly every family and friend here.
I expected to go to his massage room today and find a sign up on the front door "Sorry Closed for business, off to Hawaii with entire family" but no he was there, with a smile on his face and grateful for all the business in the last few days.
Sunday the 24th of June can be summed up quite simply... everyone was in recovery mode, relaxing by the pool, reading books, dissecting the night before, nursing sore heads, stomachs etc - while the kids played around the pool. We really have taken over at Blue Karma and I am not sure if the place will ever be the same.
It must have been one hell of a party.

Not too many took up the cocktail options too early except for my brother in law Andrew and Uncle Barry... it seems the Huggett gene of never knowing when to stop, runs strong in both. They picked up where they left off with a Bintang for breakfast - and continued on from there.
By evening we all decided we'd head out to a nearby Italian restaurant called Rustica, for dinner...

The usual stragglers were left by the end of the evening so I was convinced that we should party on... off I went with Dodie, Liz, Sherene, Janine and Shamus to Potato Head to kick on.
It was a fun night with lots of laughs and jokes. Poor Shamus being the butt of most, but he handled it very well. Several cocktails later we were home, tucked up in bed. We must be getting old.
Monday the 25th of June was more of the same - relaxing and chilling out.
Some wandered off to shop, swim etc.
I said goodbye to many who had to fly out, it was quite an emotional day for me. So many people had made such a huge effort to be here - just for me. It's very humbling!!
Today, Tuesday the 26th of June, I have said goodbye to more friends and family and tomorrow the rest of my family and friends head home and Richard the kids and I will head back to Villa Hai to stay with Ron & Lee.
We have decided to extend and stay longer, we must be having a shocking time ;-)
Sonia, glad to see that you had a wonderful birthday and it certainly would have been warmer than here. Sorry to have missed Richard, we looked out for him so that I could give him a package to give to Nina. I thought he was coming next week, I must have got the dates out a bit. Anyway, if you would like another package perhaps you can let me know if there is a way to get it to you a bit quicker than last time. All your experiences sound wonderful with so many treasured memories. Take care, Mrs Wright
