The last day of my 30's, Bali

I have a feeling I will always remember the last day of my 30's... for no other reason than being surrounded by so many beautiful family and friends - what I cherish most in life.

The overnight arrivals were slowly starting to emerge, in Liz & Sherene... followed by Shamus, Brendan & Fiona and Rob & Dodie... it was so nice to see them all.

The first arrivals of the morning were Uncle Mario & Lucy along with Vince (Melissa's boyfriend)... they had travelled through the night to get here and I never thought I'd see Uncle Mun in Bali, but here he was, for me!

After they arrived I took Jack to visit Putu, the masseuse... he had said he could check him out and work on his allergies. Jack loved every minute of his massage - it was cute.
When we got back it wasn't long before Mum & Dad and Graham & Lyn arrived ... again I never thought I'd see Graham in Bali but here he was - for me... it's all very humbling!

Lizzy with Dad (Phillip)

I also received a text from my beautiful friend Shari to say she  had landed with her friend Julie... nearly everyone was here.

Richard busied himself with lunch at Ku De Ta with a few who had ventured out, while I stayed back at the pool with the kids chilling out... it was a beautiful afternoon.

By 4:30 everyone readied themselves for the last day of my 30's party at the Sunset Bar at the Padma Hotel... when I got there I was blown away by the work Richard had put into the night... too spoilt!!

Even the menu's had been written up...
Richard is sneaky

It was french champagne and cocktails all round followed by lots of chatting and 6 months of catch ups with all of my friends and family. I don't think I stopped talking all night.

The love of my life & I

I was serenaded by a 4 man band and danced with Ron (my father in law) to Brown Eyed Girl (one of my favourites).....

Having fun

and even a cake was arranged - way too embarrassing... it left me wondering what was left for my actual birthday haha!!

The night was a blast and many partied on at nightclubs well into the night (they are paying for it today)... me on the other hand - I was dragged home after the Sunset Bar by a very sensible Richard (for once) who wanted to ensure I was feeling tip top for my birthday... that's unusual - Richard the sensible one!!! Mark that one down in the history books.. Haha!

This morning, Saturday the 23rd of June I was greeting by this....

After the initial embarrassment, It made me feel completely spoilt rotten, extremely lucky and so very blessed.
And then the overnight arrivals began to emerge - all in their PJ's - no one cared, it was so good to see my Aunties and my little cousins...

To all of those who have text, called, left messages... Thank you... I am feeling the love!
I look forward to a drink with you all soon and will keep you posted on tonight's antics. The party begins at 3:30.

ps, this blog should keep everyone happy who has complained that there haven't been enough photos of me... sorry for the overkill xx
