Richard's 38th Birthday, St Helen's

We woke yesterday morning Thursday the 22nd of March, to a chill factor. The coldest morning yet since our arrival in Tasmania.
The kids were awake early and full of excitement because it was Richard's birthday.

After giving him their presents, a dive camera, a new ipad cover and some other bits and pieces, we took a stroll into the main street of St Helen's.
It's a cute town nestled in the Bay of Fires. We decided we would spoil the birthday boy with a nice brekky and then a stroll around the town.

By the time we had walked back to the caravan park, we had all warmed up and the thermals were slowly being peeled off. Richard then did some work on the computer while I ventured back into a laundry... All good :-) and without incident.

Lunch was a seafood meal in an old houseboat nestled on the bay... It was lovely.

We had big plans to go out for dinner  with Graham & Jill, our friends from the caravan park in Hobart, but Graham seems to have come down with a stomach upset (we are hoping we didn't help him with that last night).
So Jill came over for a visit and gave Richard a birthday card with some scratches, it was lovely of them.

By late afternoon, Graham was feeling much better so we went over to their unit in the caravan park for a drink and a chat before bidding each other farewell for the moment... I am sure we will see both again. They live in Mandurah, so we are virtually neighbours.
After drinks it was a quiet family dinner... chicken fajitas - one of Richard's favourites...

Thank you to everyone who has rang and sent birthday texts and messages to wish Richard a happy 38th birthday, I am sure it was a memorable one on the road in St Helen's.
