Blowin' In The Wind, Byron Bay

Yesterday, Tuesday the 5th of June, was another quiet day, but again the sun was shining so we ventured out to make the most of it. We drove into a nearby town called Bangalow. It was a quaint little spot with lots of funky giftware shops and cafes.
While we were in a shop, Jack ran in to tell me that he'd seen a tyre roll down the main street and oncoming cars were ducking and diving to miss it.
The shop assistant and I just smiled and didn't pay too much attention - but when we walked outside there it was, a truck - missing a tyre.
When I looked at it in amazement Jack gave me the "I told you so" look. Serves me right for not paying attention.

We then drove back along the countryside to Byron.
After some grocery shopping we were back in the van cooking dinner and settling in for a quiet night.

After a restless night, I gave sleep away by around 6 o'clock this morning, Wednesday the 6th of June, and decided to go to the gym and do a pump class.
When I returned the kids were all huddled in my bed watching TV.
We ventured out and had coffee and hot chocolates overlooking the ocean....

... we then went back to the caravan for some brekky and to get stuck into some schoolwork.

By 10 o'clock the boys were in their wet suits and ready for surf school. Their last lesson!
While the boys were catching some waves with Corinna, Nina and I went to the hairdresser for some pampering.
The boys were back in the van having a hot shower when we got back, with lots of tales of the waves they had caught. They were all starving, so off we went to the local sushi train which was becoming a family favourite.

On the way home we brought the ingredients to make Richards favorite meal - beef swirls.
He has been craving them (thanks for that Brownie).
They won't be as good as the Applecross butcher but fingers crossed they'll be close.
Beef swirls a la Bennett - fingers crossed they pass the taste test

This afternoon, the wind arrived from the south coast, we have battened down and so far so good.

The wind should blow Richard in by around 7 o'clock tonight.
