When I arrived back Richard had the kids doing the washing and homework being done.... love his work.
After some school work we all headed off for a drive to Brunswick Heads, just north of Byron and then south to Lennox Heads... enough heads for one day... we then headed back to Byron and wandered the streets, while Richard went back to the caravan to do some work.
It's amazing how you can continue to wander the same streets and continue to see different things in Byron.
By dinner time we wandered next door to a funky restaurant called The Balcony and had a espresso martini.. Dinner was amazing at a fancy Italian restaurant before we headed back to the van for an early night.
This morning, Friday the 1st of June, we were woken by torrential rain. The kids had surf school booked and we thought it best to cancel, but before long the skies had cleared and Corrina (the Swiss surf teacher) was knocking to take the boys for their second class.
She was really impressed with their strength and how quickly they have taken to surfing.
I must apologise to all the men who have been hanging out to see a close up pic of the Corrina... stay tuned for Monday's lesson.

This afternoon, Andrew (Richard's brother) arrived from the Gold Coast (where he lives) to collect Richard and take him to the airport.
He flies out in the morning for Arnhem Land for a meeting (aka fishing trip), he has such a tough life.
So here I am in Byron (it could be much worse) with the kids... on one of the best pieces of real estate in Australia, overlooking the ocean and surrounded by some of the funkiest shops and cafes in the country... and although I think we will survive without him :-) we do miss him already.
Tonight, the kids and I had dinner at Hogs Breath Cafe before getting back to the caravan in time to watch the footy (and by footy I mean the AFL, we are not converted yet to the other code). I do however, have my fingers crossed that the Brumbies win, for my good buddy Noels.
