Sunday the 8th of July, we took an early morning stroll up the beach towards Seminyak and had a beautiful breakfast at Laluciola, the tables are set so far apart you feel like you're dining in your own private dining room, overlooking the ocean. It was a gorgeous way to start the day.
We then left Ron at Lee who were keen to head back to the Villa... and Richard, the kids and I headed towards Seminyak Square in search of a leotard for Nina, who was starting gymnastics school on Monday. Despite a thorough search, no luck... so we began to head back towards Canggu stopping for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe along the way, it made me recall the last time I was there with the Harvey gals, Angela, Tara & Carmel... eating burgers and potato skins like there was no tomorrow... the thought made me smile.
Sunday afternoon ... Richard and I went up the road for a massage together... by evening Richard and I decided we would head out on the motorbike for dinner - without the kids - and have another 11th hour try at finding Nina a leotard.
After rummaging through shops along the way without luck we then had some luck at Discovery shopping centre. No leotard but some leggings and little sports tops which would have to do. If anyone feels like opening up a business in Bali - there's a niche in the market for leotards haha!
We then cruised home, stopping for dinner at Made's Warung in Seminyak. There was no Jack, so satay sticks were on the menu - they were good!
Monday morning the 9th of July... and the kids were up early, excited that they were starting a week of soccer camp, for the boys and gymnastics camp for Nina.

I drove them to the Canggu Club, my first experience driving on the roads in Bali. I made it there with no damage done and said goodbye to the kids before doing an hour in the gym.... driving out of the Club I had a hairy moment but managed to get Ron's car home without any damage done.
I swear they are maniacs on the road here, it's so foreign, bikes have right of way and no one lets anyone in or slows down - it's dog eat dog... I am quite happy to hire cabs from here on in.

I arrived back at the Villa a bit lost without the kids, it's the first time they haven't been with us in 7 months, a weird feeling but it was fleeting. haha!!
Before long Richard and I were on the motorbike heading out for coffee before watching him have a tennis session and then lunch at the Canggu Club where we picked the kids up from their first day of camp... we were so relieved to find them so excited and full of stories about their first day.
Last night, we caught up with some friends from Perth, Mono and Jen and their 3 kids Hugo, Grace and Loui at Naughty Nuri's, famous for their pork ribs and margaritas.
The kids were so tired after their big days it ended up being an early night.
This morning, Tuesday the 8th of July, the kids were up again and dressed, ready for soccer and gym well before time... gee they were never this excited about school, even my classes.
Richard and I dropped them off at the Canggu Club and headed out for a coffee before heading up to Tanah Lot, the ancient Indonesian temples built on the water... it was beautiful!

We then stopped for lunch at Echo Beach before heading back to the Villa.
This afternoon, I decided a Nanna Nap was in order, I am 40 now! So I had a slumber while Richard went up the Canggu Club to get the kids and have a swim with Mono and another friend also in Bali, Chris Browne. You may recall the Browne's of Wood End who we stayed with in April... they are in Bali as well. It's like one big Aussie reunion, as is always the case with Bali.
