The week in brief, Bali

Wow... how did the weekend arrive so quickly?
It's been a full week in beautiful Bali of shopping, massages, catch ups with friends from Oz, Doctor's appointments and our first major Bali purchase.
I'll explain a little more... firstly Ron & Richard went halves in a new scooter together. It's a Yamaha 125 and even I can drive it after Richard gave me a few lessons yesterday.

With the kids in soccer and gymnastics camp all week Richard and I have been enjoying a few hours of shopping, dining etc together without the kids for the first time in 6 months, so that's been lovely... hence why we had enough time to go shopping for a new scooter and to fit in a few scooter lessons for me.

Poor Lee has spent the week in and out of Bali International Medical Centre having an IV drip of antibiotics after she fell over in Perth about 6 weeks ago and corked her leg. Finally the infection is starting to clear up, thankfully!

The kids have had the time of their lives at soccer and gymnastics camp... yesterday Friday the 13th of July, they received their certificates for completing the week with flying colours.

To all of Jack & Harry's soccer mates back in Harvey, you will be pleased to know that Jack scored 4 goals in the final game, while Harry was just as sharp as always in defence... they were both very proud of themselves.

I was especially proud when their respective coaches told us how well mannered all of our kids have been.

And then, walking along the street in Seminyak the other day I bump into a dear old friend who I haven't seen in 20 years. Last night Richard and I caught up with Anna Sinagra (Scurria) and her husband Sam. She is also up here for her 40th, so no doubt we will catch up again.

This morning, Saturday the 14th of July, we are packing our bags for a few days and heading north to the opposite end of the Island. We have never been beyond Ubud before, neither has Ron and Lee, so it will be a nice adventure for all of us.

Sorry about the week in brief, but I am being told to make it quick as we are packing to leave.
Will keep you posted on what the rest of the Island is like when we get back to Canggu.
