After an afternoon of successful crabbing with the kids, last night Richard made his famous Singapore Chilli crabs for our caravaning neighbours. Corrie & Graham (from Mandurah) made a salad & Maggie & Jeff (from everywhere)) made salt & pepper squid & coconut rice.
It was a feast fit for kings & queens.
Jack, or should I say Bear, then lit the fire with his flint by the light of a full moon but before long the rain had us packing up & heading towards the sanctuary of our caravans.

Today, it was an early rise to move camp, we had to shift two doors down if we wanted to stay any longer, so pack up we did. Before long it was business as usual. Richard went off to do some work & the kids & I popped across the road to the community library.
After lunch we did some sightseeing, checking out Hally's Beach, the local blowholes & the whistling rock. We also paid a visit to the local service station which is home to the biggest white pointer ever caught. More than 5 metres long, it took a 21 year old man, 5 hours to pull it in, in 1990.

This made us laugh |
It was then off to happy hour at the Streaky Bay pub where chook won the chook raffle. She was so excited! No doubt we' ll be having roast chicken this week for dinner.

Tonight, after putting the kids to bed, Richard & I went for a walk along the Bay, before long we were deep in conversation with a group of people who had lit a fire. It turns out one of the couples has a son who plays for the Western Bulldogs, so here I am, ready for bed, while Richard is continuing to shoot the breeze ( a nice way of putting it) with our new found caravanning neighbours about the AFL etc
For me though, time for bed.
