By 4:30 we had reached Ceduna. After tossing up over a few caravan parks we ended up at Shelley Beach Caravan Park, about 4kms out of town, and set on Decres Bay.
It wasn't long before the kids had a couple of new friends and Richard had endeared himself to the caravan park owners. Before long we were invited to a BBQ at the Park owner's house.

It was a lovely night with lovely people and great conversation about the local fishing scene etc. Anna & Brownie have two children, Sharni and Jackson... they too travelled around Oz before kids and had many stories to tell. They also had friends over, including another couple from Perth.
When the conversation turned to politics, around 12:30 SA time, we all knew it was time for bed :-).
We woke late this morning, still not used to the time change and after a night of going back and forth to check that the annex hadn't been snapped in half by the galeforce winds and torrential rain.
I have a feeling Cyclone Iggy is following us, keeping that tinny on the roof and the boys fishing
escapades at bay, for the moment.
After brekky we went for a drive through Ceduna, very quiet on a Sunday, and then took a 40km trek to Smokey Bay hoping to buy some fresh Oysters. No luck though, everyone has today off, or so it seems. We are planning on staying here for a couple of days in the hope that Iggy passes us.
