Poolside Fun and Family Farewells, Broome

Monday the 26th of November... Yikes less than a month until Christmas... Sorry it had to be said!
We were up and after brekky heading into Broome to hit the shops. We all wandered through China Town and the pearl shops. It's the quiet season, so everything was just that, very low key and quiet. We then headed across to the local shopping centre where Nonno (my Dad) set about buying the kids their Christmas presents and spoiling them rotten.
After the Christmas shopping spree was over, we headed to Matso's Brewery for lunch.
Phillip, Richard, Sonia, Lauren, Leon and Rosetta, Matso's

It was a lovely afternoon and everyone enjoyed lunch while trying every beer on the Matso's menu. I am not a beer drinker at all but I had to give the Chilli Beer a try. It blew my socks off, it was hot. After a try, I was content to settle for the Ginger Beer.
We stayed for much of the afternoon before heading to the Broome Port to have a look, it was low tide...

....before heading back to Cable Beach where everyone was happy to spend the rest of the afternoon in the pool, cooling down.
By late afternoon, Leon (my brother), Lauren and her little girl Charli, headed out for a sunset camel ride. They met us back and the caravan, where dinner was a BBQ. It was the first time Leon had seen the van. It was a lovely relaxing night, listening to music and chatting about our adventures. The kids also did their rendition of The Man From Iron Bark...

Tuesday the 27th of November, after brekky Mum and I went into Broome to get some pampering and each have a massage. I fossicked through some shops while Mum had her massage and then she did the same while I had mine. Richard came to pick us up and we headed back to the pool, where again, the day was spent. The kids played and made friends while the adults cooled off and chatted.

Again, Betsy... our old mate from my media days was by the pool with his family so we chatted some more.

By late afternoon Mum, Dad, Leon and Lauren went to pack up their things. And then, all too soon, they were ready to go.
We walked them all to the car and after hugs and kisses for everyone, a few tears from Harry (who had been inseparable from his Nanna all weekend) and Nina and a photo, they were gone.
Ready for the airport
How quickly time can fly when you're having fun. We miss you all already, but we will be home in a blink.
It was an early night for us... we were all shattered. After a token dinner we were all in bed by 8 o'clock.
