Chill Outs & Catch Ups, Metung

Monday the 30th of April was the start of a new week and some more routine.
I woke and went for a good walk and after I returned Richard went into Metung to do some work while I set the kids up for a morning of school work.

After about 2 hours of school, we packed the tinny (this time it worked) and Jack had a good kneeboard, all the way to Paynesville (about 6 kilometres by water)...

Jack, still not tired!!

Nina & Richard with Jack still on the kneeboard

When we arrived we had some lunch and did some grocery shopping.

The Paynesville ferry, almost as wide as the lake, ferries vehicles to Raymond Island

We returned home frozen stiff so it was warm showers all round before the kids kicked the footy and went for a walk with Richard.
Richard and I had both decided we were not drinking for the week, that was until Gazza, the next door neighbour came over for a drink about 5:30 and the liquid diet was abandoned by Richard.
It ended up being an early one after a family TV session of Australia's Got Talent and and The Voice.

Tuesday morning the 1st of May was another walk around Metung, before Nina and I went to have our hair trimmed.
We then went into Bairnsdale, a nearby town, for lunch and a shop.
We returned home with Jack, Harry & Nina desperate for a water ski, after seeing a glass lake.

It all changed when Harry & Nina felt the water. Jack ended up being the only one brave enough to get into the cold water.

I sat on the shore and took a few photos before making dinner....

When the kids returned they were frozen stiff so it was hot showers all round while Richard had another beer or several with Gazza from next door.... I continue to be the strong one, sticking to the alcohol free diet.

Later I candled Jack's ears, he's been complaining about them, before heading to bed.

Jack has his ears candled
Wednesday will be a big homework day for the kids with rain forecast.
