City Slickers, Adelaide

We've spent two full days in Adelaide now and haven't stopped for a minute, on our way the big rig reached a milestone...  hitting the 100 000 mark.

It was nice to finally arrive in Adelaide on Monday afternoon the 20th of February, after an 8 hour drive... It's our first capital city since leaving over a month ago,  so it's great to have all the conveniences on hand, and plenty of retail therapy options :-).
We are staying at a massive caravan park in West Beach, next door to the popular beach side suburb of Glenelg, it has the most amazing set up for children with swimming pools and huge bouncy cushions, which have had the kids occupied for hours on end.

Tuesday morning the 21st of February was an early morning walk along the beach with Richard, we passed a bakery on the way home and I set Richard the challenge of talking his way into getting us both a coffee, without any money.
As you all know, Richard hates a challenge, but used his charm beautifully and before too long I had my soy latte and Ric his flat white.
The lady was lovely and we were back at the bakery within a couple of hours to pay our dues.
After that we had a scheduled visit for Harry and Nina at the Paediatric Dentist.
Harry was supposed to have 2 fillings while Nina was booked to go under Anaesthetic to have several fillings. As it turns out both need a hospital visit and General Anaesthetic, so Tuesday morning was a bit of a trauma.
We then checked out the nearby Harbour Town, where the boys each got a Tasmanian proof jacket, before heading to Glenelg for a wander along the Marina and an afternoon drink at the Pier Hotel.

Wednesday the 22nd of February was another early morning walk, and another coffee but we were prepared and cashed up this time. We then went to the Adelaide Caravan & Camping Show to pick up a couple of things for the annex.
Yesterday afternoon our good friends, Frank and Di Bamford, who have a Nissan deaership in Adelaide called by to visit us for an afternoon drink or 3 and a pizza.
Frank and Di have travelled with us on many Nissan trips around the country and the world.
We always enjoy their company and retelling stories of our travels together.
We called it a night early, as we had an early start,  with Harry having to be at the hospital early for his dental work.
