A brave little chookie was up bright and early this morning, Monday the 27th of February, ready for her turn at the hospital to have her fillings done.
Harry had sold it all so well, so Chookie was excited about choosing her own flavor of happy gas.
She had declared days ago, after hearing Harry's story, that she was having grape - so grape it was.
Richard took her to the hospital while I stayed back at the caravan park with the boys.
I busied myself after Richard & Nina left, with a beachside walk to Glenelg.
The boys then had some school work to get stuck into.
It wasn't long before Richard called to let us know that Chookie was fine but had to have 4 caps on her back teeth.
Harry started crying for his sister & I cried, knowing how much she didn't want silver caps.
Jack spent a little while consoling us & making jokes about Chookie which had us all laughing before long.
The boys & I then rode our push bikes into Glenelg to do some odd jobs.
We high tailed it home when Richard called to say he was on his way with Chookie but not before the boys had brought their baby sister a little present to make her feel better (too cute).
The boys are always complaining about their little sister being a pain, but today I saw how much they both really love her, it was gorgeous!!
Chookie then slept for most of the day, so it was an opportunity to get all the washing done & do some cleaning up before we say goodbye to Adelaide tomorrow.
It's funny, for a place I wasn't that keen on visiting, Adelaide has really grown on me.
Our position on the beach in the Adelaide Shores Caravan Park has helped, along with our beautiful weekend with the Bamfords.
Hopefully Harry & Nina's memories of Adelaide go beyond the Wakefield Surgicentre and dental appointments.
